Kolkata and surrounding regions experienced heavy thunderstorms and strong winds, confirming the Meteorological Department's forecast. The Alipore Met office had issued a red alert for several South Bengal districts, warning of stormy winds up to 70-80 kmph.

হাওয়া অফিসের পূর্বাভাস অনুযায়ী কলকাতা ও আশপাশের অঞ্চলে তুমুল ঝড়বৃষ্টি শুরু হয়েছে। আবহাওয়া দফতর দক্ষিণবঙ্গের একাধিক জেলায় রেড অ্যালার্ট জারি করেছে এবং ৭০-৮০ কিমি/ঘণ্টা বেগে ঝোড়ো হাওয়ার পূর্বাভাস দিয়েছে।
